For some of our products, labels are designed to be applied over the cap and will tear when the product is opened for the first time. This unique design requires a specific approach when creating your label.

Designing with the breakpoint in mind

We've added dotted lines to the label template to show you the approximate place where the label will tear. These lines serve as a visual guide for this breakpoint.

  • We highly recommend that you keep all crucial design elements, such as your brand name, logo, or essential product information, outside of this area.

  • Any text or imagery that crosses this dotted line is likely to be split in half and become unreadable once the tube is opened. By keeping your key information away from this zone, you can ensure your label looks professional and is fully legible after the seal has been broken.

  • Please note that these dotted lines are for your reference only and can be deleted from your final design before you submit it.

Label specifications and dimensions

When you're creating your label, it's essential to design it to the correct size. We have two key dimensions for this label:

Trim Size: this is the final, cut size of your printed label, which is 4" × 6.875". Think of this as the finished product that will be applied to the tube.

Bleed Size: this is the overall size of your design file, including an extra margin to ensure your artwork extends to the very edge of the final cut. The bleed size is 4.25" × 7.125" and includes a 0.125" bleed line all around the trim size. Designing with this bleed is crucial to prevent unprinted white edges on your finished label.

Currently, our catalog includes two products with this type of label: Ceremonial Matcha Powder and Sweet Brew Instant Coffee. If you have any questions or need further clarification on tube packaging labels, we’re here to help. Reach out to us anytime at [email protected].
