A fulfillment fee is the cost charged for picking, packing, and shipping a product to your customer. This fee applies per unique user-created product in an order.
First fulfillment fee
The first unit of each user-created product in an order is charged a standard fulfillment fee of $1.99. This covers handling, packaging, and getting it ready to ship.
If a customer orders 1 unit of product A and 1 unit of product B, each will be charged a first fulfillment fee because they are separate products, and the total will be $3.98.
Additional units of the same product
Any additional units of the same product in the same order are charged a reduced fulfillment fee of $1.29.
What if I create multiple products from the same SKU?
If you create separate product listings from the same base SKU (e.g., same product with different labels, branding, or custom mockups), each of those is treated as a distinct product in your store.
So, even if two products are based on the same SKU behind the scenes, they will each be charged a first-unit fulfillment fee if they’re ordered together.
Example 1: One product, one unit
Order: 1 unit of Product A
Fulfillment fee: 1 × $1.99 = $1.99
Example 2: Multiple units of one product
Order: 3 units of Product A
Fulfillment fee:
1 × $1.99 (first unit)
2 × $1.29 (additional units)
Total = $4.57
Example 3: Multiple products
Order:
2 units of Product A
2 units of Product B (a different product, even if based on the same SKU)
Fulfillment fee:
Product A: 1 × $1.99 + 1 × $1.29
Product B: 1 × $1.99 + 1 × $1.29
Total = $6.56
Example 4: Multiple products, same SKU
You’ve created:
Product A (Mushroom Coffee, black label)
Product B (Mushroom Coffee, gold label)
Even though both are built on the same SKU, they are treated as separate products.
Order: 1 unit of Product A + 1 unit of Product B
Fulfillment fee:
Product A: 1 × $1.99
Product B: 1 × $1.99
Total = $3.98
Summary
The first unit of each user-created product = first fulfillment fee $1.99
All additional units of that same product = reduced fulfillment fee of $1.29
Each unique product listing is treated separately, even if created from the same base SKU
