Eligibility Criteria
To register as a seller on TikTok Shop, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Residency Requirement: Applicants must have a valid U.S. passport, a driver's license, or proof of legal U.S. residency.
There are two types of sellers allowed on TikTok Shop:
-> Individual Sellers-> Business Sellers
Important Note:
Cross-border sellers are not allowed to register as individual sellers.
Governments, politicians, and political parties are prohibited from becoming TikTok Shop sellers.
Documentation Needed to Register as a TikTok Shop Seller
Business Sellers
Business sellers must provide TikTok Shop with the following information:
Valid Government-Issued Documentation: This may include Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Federal Tax ID number, government-issued business registration documents, business license, etc.
Registered U.S. Business Entity: Government-issued business registration documents must include:
Date of incorporation
Full legal name of the business
Registered business address
Bank Account and Tax Information: Valid and up-to-date.
Authorization Letter: If representing public companies or corporations that are not beneficial owners, a letter of authorization from the business being registered may be required.
Individual Sellers
Individual sellers must provide TikTok Shop with the following information:
Valid U.S. Government-Issued ID: This can be a U.S. Passport or Driver's License with the expiration date. The name on the ID must match the applicant's registered TikTok Shop account.
Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
Bank Account and Tax Information: Valid and up-to-date.
Image Requirements
All images must be clear, high-quality, and in color.
TikTok Shop reserves the right to request additional information from applicants to ensure they are qualified to be a TikTok Shop seller.
By meeting these requirements and providing the necessary documentation, eligible individuals and businesses can register as sellers on TikTok Shop and start selling their products to a wider audience.
